Selma Gurruwiwi, Yolŋu women from Gikal in eastern Arnhem Land, Northern Territory of Australia.
The portrait was taken in the natural light from an adjacent window, in the green room prior to the launch of a Yidaki (a type of didgeridoo) exhibition where a group of Yolŋu dancers and musicians had traveled down to Adelaide to perform at the South Australian Museum.
